    Safari Fleet Telematics & Right-Sizing

Fuel, maintenance, idling and driving behaviour decide whether a game-drive operation is profitable. Paste the month's odometer and fuel log to see what each vehicle really costs per guest.

    Safari Fleet Telematics & Right-Sizing

What each vehicle actually costs per guest

Paste the month's telemetry — odometer, fuel drawn, idling hours, harsh-braking and speeding events — and get cost per kilometre, cost per seat-kilometre, idle-fuel waste, service urgency and the fleet size the guest count really needs.

Kenyan Hospitality Benchmarks & Compliance Notes

The assumptions behind this engine, written for owners, GMs and revenue managers.

Idling is the invisible line item

A 4x4 burns about 2.4 litres per hour standing still. Two hours of engine idling per drive-day across four vehicles costs more than a set of tyres over a season.

Cost per seat-km, not cost per km

A six-seat Land Cruiser at KES 40/km is cheaper per guest than a three-seat sedan at KES 30/km. Right-sizing decisions only work at the seat-kilometre level.

Service overdue is a risk, not a bill

The engine flags any vehicle past its interval (5,000 km for 4x4s and vans) and adds it to the risk score before a breakdown strands guests in the Mara.
